Chip Carmer

Board Member

Chip Carmer is originally from Iowa and attended Texas Christian University, where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Real Estate Finance.
Chip began his career with Stewart Title, where he worked for ten years and ultimately served as an Operations Manager. In 1991, he joined First American Title Insurance Company as Vice President and South Texas Manager. During his career with First American, Chip held leadership positions in Texas, Arizona and California.

In 2004, Chip was appointed Senior Vice President and Regional Manager, overseeing operations across as many as 22 states throughout the Midwest and Western United States, with management responsibility for nearly $1 billion in annual revenue. He remained in that role until his retirement in 2019.

Throughout the years, Chip has been actively involved in both civic and community organizations. His service includes roles as a Little League coach, Rotary member, Board Director for the Corpus Christi Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, participation with the American Land Title Association, and service on the Board of Directors for the Banner Health Foundation.
Chip married Jennifer Weidner in 1983. Together they have two children, Chester Carmer and Caroline Carmer Hasple and are proud grandparents to four granddaughters.
