Dr. Teresa Heatly Zachariah is a Pulmonary/Critical Care specialist, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. She has been practicing in Arizona since 1995, balancing her career in medicine with her passion for travel. With her husband, Dr. Joe Zachariah, Teresa took a sabbatical to tour the world from 2003 to 2006. She is a co-founder of travelhealthadvisors.com which assists international travelers with their medical needs while abroad.
Teresa was born in a small rural Oklahoma community along the Red River valley where she formed a natural bond with the red clay along with the quails, turkeys and jack rabbits who also called this place home. She has developed that same bond with the desert mountains. An avid hiker, Teresa believes being able to start or end each day in the quiet and peaceful outdoors is a joy worth preserving. She is excited to assist in preserving the beauty and ecosystem of our desert and mountains by serving on the Paradise Mountain Trust and Phoenix Mountain Preserve Council.
