On February 17th, 2020, the Desert Botanical Gardens sponsored the release of the new children’s book, “The Story of Camelback Mountain.” The book’s co-authors Estelle Cohen and Pam Hait and illustrator Sebastian Millon were in attendance and read the story aloud as the large group of children and parents followed along.

The book and the event were a big hit, and in the end, over 130 copies of the story were sold. Vice Mayor Julie Pace and Mayor Kate Gallego were also in attendance to show their support. After the reading, Vice Mayor Pace lead a question and answer session with the kids.

The Paradise Valley Mountain Preserve Trust would like to thank everyone who attended for their immense support for this event, our Town, and our Trust’s ongoing conservation efforts.
